Three simple elements intertwine to give life to Kallà, a label created for A’Luna winery in the province of Agrigento. The land of Agrigento is known around the world not only for the Valley of the Temples, but also for the extraordinary Scala dei Turchi — and it is precisely here that the story begins. The name “Scala dei Turchi”, referring to the characteristic stepped shape of the rock formation, is also believed to derive from an alteration of the Arabic word “Kallà”, meaning “a place sheltered from the winds” or “harbour”.
